The Art of Cheating! 67 candidates caught wearing shirts with built-in Bluetooth device!

Around 67 aspirants were caught cheating with SMS and Bluetooth during SSC examination held on Sunday at various examination centres in the state for the recruitment of Assistant Grade -3 in Central government institutions.  All those arrested belong to Haryana.

Pradeep Sharma, resident of Sonipat (Haryana) was arrested from Kamla Nehru Girls Higher Secondary after being caught cheating through mobile phone with answers to all questions written in code words. According to TT Nagar police, Pradeep reached the examination center 10 minutes late and carried his mobile against the rules. He was caught after his suspicious activities as he was looking at his mobile in intervals. Immediately his mobile was seized and the police was informed.
 
 In Rewa 40 aspirants arrested from eight examination centers included 18 from Chattarpur, 7 from Khandwa and one from Guna. Devices such as mobile phone, Bluetooth, special microphones and devices were seized from those arrested. Prima Facie revealed that the number from which the sms with answers was sent belongs to Haryana.  The police are suspecting involvement of a gang in the fraud case. According to SSC examination controller the paper were not leaked and therefore the examination cannot be cancelled.

According to the IG, police is searching for the people who were helping the candidates for cheating via Bluetooth. Also, raids are being conducted at the hotels were the candidates were staying.  

The police in its initial investigation found that a Gurgoan based gang was helping the candidates to clear the examination for Rs 4 lakh each. They used to provide them with a shirt that inbuilt with a Bluetooth device with two microphones. The candidate needed to cough once to know the answers. Coughing once meant the candidate had got Set A paper while coughing twice meant Set B paper and answers were told accordingly.

According to DGP Surender Singh the local police would be investigating regarding all the candidates arrested and the case would not be handed over to STF.
